There has been a volleyball club in Arbroath since the mid 80’s.

Originally, only a mens team existed, playing in the Angus & Dundee Mens League.

Despite this league folding in 1995, the club continued to flourish, with healthy numbers turning up for Sunday night training.

In season 2000-01 the club entered a mixed team, for the first time in the Angus & Dundee League. They were narrowly beaten into second place by the then dominant DBD’s. The following year however, Arbroath turned the tables and recorded their first ever league title win, with a thrilling last game of the season decider. Since then they have gone from strength to strength, establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the district. Their dominance confirmed with a 6th league title in-a-row last season.
